The Barbados Civil Aviation Authority [The Authority]
The Authority is a Body Corporate, which was established by Parliament on 25 October 2022, marking a historic transition from the Civil Aviation Department (CAD) to an independent Aviation Safety Regulator. This change introduced significant functions, including Safety/Security Regulatory Oversight, Air Transport Management/Economics, and Corporate Governance.
Currently, the Barbados Civil Aviation Authority (BCAA) operates under the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport and is governed by a Board of Directors.
